Welcome to Duobook! This agreement between Duobook ("us", "we", "our") and yourself ("user", "you") applies to your use of the Duobook mobile applications and web services ("the Service"). By registering and using the Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to these terms. We retain the right to change or modify this agreement at any time, and your continued use of the Services constitutes ongoing agreement to the current terms which are available here at duobook.com/terms-of-service.html.
You must make a Duobook account to make purchases or access app content, including to receive access to free promotional content and content samples. Duobook reserves the right to delete your account as a last resort if it is determined that you are in any way abusing the Service.
Duobook purchases grant you a license to one copy of the title for non-commercial use. Title licenses purchased on Duobook are non-transferrable, and as the purchaser you agree to not rent, lease, sell, resell, distribute, or act in any way other than the intended use. You must keep a valid record of your current country of residence in your iTunes account, as authors may have restrictions on where their work is available for sale.
Duobook uses Apple's In-App-Purchase platform, and acts in compliance with the Apple purchase terms of service. We do ask that you only trigger a return in the event of an unintended purchase or a faulty Duobook title, and give us a chance to solve any problems that you have by first emailing support@duobook.com.
Duobook may offer free or discounted promotional titles to users. Purchased titles are yours to keep, but depending the promotion, Duobook retains the right to remove free titles from your library at the end of the promotional period.
Our goal with Duobook is to build as large a catalog as possible with a wide range of titles for a variety of people. Publishers will occasionally add and remove titles from the Duobook catalog, but we promise to continue to support the titles you've already paid for.
Offering a title for sale does not mean that we endorse the content, writer, or opinions expressed, and you as the reader acknowledge that you may be exposed to content that you find inaccurate, offensive, indecent, or objectionable. If you have any concerns, let us know at support@duobook.com.
At the time of writing, we've opted not to incorporate any DRM protections. However, should we enact them in the future, you agree not to remove, circumvent, disable, or otherwise interfere with any DRM protections or other security-related features. You also agree to not attempt to reverse engineer or otherwise attempt to recreate or discover the underlying code of the Duobook app.
You further agree to respect the intellectual property rights of authors, publishers, and Duobook. You will not make derivative copies and/or resell the works you've purchased. If you're a rights holder with concerns about something you've seen on Duobook, contact us at support@duobook.com.
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold us harmless against any losses, expenses, costs or damages in any manner related to any claim or legal action based upon your use or misuse of Duobook.
You also agree that these terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Ohio and waive all right to trial by jury in any action related to use of the Service. You also submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the State of Ohio or the United States of America located in Cuyahoga County, the State of Ohio, for any legal proceedings related to this agreement.
